Seasonal Migration
Displaymaker is designing, fabricating and installing the holiday decor at Seattle-Tacoma Int'l airport.

This holiday season, travelers passing through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will get an extraordinary glimpse into the peaceful beauty of winter in the Pacific Northwest.

Displaymaker is hard at work designing the décor for the airport. A flock of elegant snow geese will take flight with other winged wonders such as 777’s and A360’s as part of the airports seasonal display entitled: “Seasonal Migration - Winter Comes to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.”

Travelers arriving at SeaTac will be entering a picturesque winter landscape. Above each entrance door throughout the departures hall, groves of snow and ice-encrusted native alder trees will rise majestically towards the sky from a billowing snowdrift. As travelers depart from the ticketing counters, they will pass through a causeway reminiscent of a winter forest. The snow geese will soar above the trees, leading the way through the concourse to the security gates. Smaller groves of alders may be found throughout the concourse, rising from blankets of snow.

Along the concourse, travelers will be awed by the spectacular sight of hundreds of snow geese migrating overhead. The display’s highlight is the Winter Forest that graces the main hall of the International Arrivals Terminal. The harmony and peace represented in the Winter Forest reflect themes that are relevant and noted in a wide range of cultures found throughout the world. The soothing tranquil effect of wind chimes signal harmony, and peace is represented by the gentle fall of snow. Every hour on the hour, snow will fall softly in the forest and a soft lilting of jingling bells will cast a delicate sound throughout the forest.

Be sure to check it out when you’re traveling this holiday season!
